overview
Thulium nitrate hexahydrate is a light green crystal, deliquescent, and easily soluble in water. Thulium oxide is dissolved in nitric acid, and the solution is obtained by evaporation and crystallization. Thulium nitrate hexahydrate can be used as an intermediate in pharmaceutical synthesis.
Production method
1. Under heating, the excess thulium nitrate and concentrated nitric acid are reacted. After the reaction is over, the unreacted oxide is filtered and separated. Cooling the obtained nitrate solution to obtain thulium nitrate hexahydrate.
2. Dissolve thulium nitrate in a slightly excess of 8mol/L nitric acid, evaporate and concentrate to a paste, and recrystallize twice with dilute nitric acid. Then put it in a 50% ~ 60% sulfuric acid dryer for drying.
